Deleted 1Password app
My 1Password disappeared from my iphone home screen. My guess is that it was deleted on accident. I would like to make sure I get all my passwords back when re-installing it, so I want to make I know how to properly recover this app and all its information. How do I get it and all my passwords back safely?

@kimmc - When you delete any iOS application, mall of its data go with it, so whether you can recover your data will dep no on whether you have synced your data to iCloud, Dropbox, or another device by wifi. Or, have you made backups in some other fashion, such as directly backing up 1Password to iTunes. Or, is your iPhone backed up to iTunes or iCloud?
Let us know if any of those apply, and someone can give you directions for recovering. If none apply, you will be faced with having to recreate your data from scratch.

I believe I haven't been doing backups virtually due to limited capabilities with iCloud storage and not taking time to figure out best way to sync over wifi or to Dropbox. But, it was the end of October when I finally updated my version of 1Password from 3 which meant I had to save data from 3 version and then import it over. I still have that data file from version 3, so can I reinstall new version of 1password as I did before and follow migrate directions? I also have my last backup from that update, so if there is a way to restore from that without affecting any other changes I've made, please let me know. Seems safest is to act like I'm updated to new version and importing/migrating that data from version 3 to new version. thanks.

@kimmc: 1Password cannot access your iCloud or iTunes backups. The only way to restore data into 1Password is using a 1Password backup:
Backup and Restore (iOS)
In order to restore 1Password data from an iTunes or iCloud backup, you will need to restore the entire backup to your device. And this does not always work, so it isn't something I'd recommended unless you're desperate.
There are only two ways to migrate data from 1Password 3 to the current version: doing so with both apps installed (1Password 6 will prompt you to import the data from 1Password 3), or manually backing up your 1Password 3 data and restoring it into 1Password 6:
Migrate from 1Password 3
But again, if you've deleted !P and its data, you won't have anything to migrate unless you'd made a backup prior to that. Please let me know what you find!

Hi all! Luckily, I still had the file to import saved on computer from upgrade out of old version 3. I was able to do the sync this way via iTunes after reinstalling new 1password. Luckily, if I made any changes in last month, they weren't things I can't figure out. Thanks for all the help. I think I will keep that file just in case I accidentally delete the app again. Or better yet, is there a way to save the current file or print a copy of it so I have all that info somewhere safe in a good ol' fashioned file cabinet?

@kimmc - Follow the link brenty gave near the top of his post that is just above yours. That will tell you how to make a specific backup of 1Password through iTunes. This is different from backing up your entire device. You probably ought to do that on a regular schedule, depending on how often you change your data. Once a week is probably a good place to begin.

@hawkmoth is spot on (thanks buddy!). I usually only back up my data once a month or so, but I also sync my data using Dropbox, and I don't add/edit data all that often. So it'll be situational how often you want to back up, but the question is how much data you can afford to lose.
Thanks.
