Syncing multiple vaults from windows to IOS without dropbox
I really love 1password and i regard agilebits as one of the most trustworthy software developers i've encountered over the years. But i really feel agilebits came in short on this one. The situation is i have 2 vaults, 1 work and 1 private vault.
I'd like to sync them with anything other than dropbox (but i prefer owncloud or webdav, or any "private cloud" solutions). Situation is: i can't. Wifi sync doesn't do multiple vaults. Owncloud or any other sync tool works fine as long as i use a desktop, but doesn't sync to IOS. iCloud could work, but doesn't sync to my windows machine.
I understand the IOS app is sandboxed so you're dependent on documented API's. But as far as i know, webdav is no dark magic. (s)FTP is well documented last time i checked, and even Icloud drive should work. Or even a read only version using https would be fine by me, or wifi sync for multiple vaults of course.
I'm hoping for a fast resolve for this, but to be honest, after searching the forums, owncloud support has been a long-outstanding question with most topics on this subject locked for no apparent reason.

Thanks for the feedback, @Brainfrz. I definitely understand the desire to be able to choose the method via which your data will sync. You've already pointed out some of the difficulty -- the availability of mobile APIs. iCloud Drive, for example, does not have a sync API for mobile that would be sutible for 1Password's database. Instead we have to use CloudKit, which isn't available on Windows. With the number of platforms we now support adding another sync solution requires a huge coordinated effort. Not to mention the fact that we need to write documentation, train CS folks, etc.
That isn't to say that we aren't willing to consider implementing other sync solutions, but right now a large portion of our development efforts are focused on 1Password for Teams, so it is unlikely we'll be adding other sync options in the near future.
Speaking of 1Password for Teams -- it would be a way in which you could have access to the same data on both Windows and iOS without using Dropbox. :)
1Password for Teams
Sorry I don't have more promising or concrete details at this point.

Sorry to hear that, the pricing for 1password for teams just for syncing purposes is just too steep so a solution it's not. If you'd release a 1password "cloud" for a dollar or euro a month, i'd be willing to think about that. But as far as my passwords go i try to be on a constant "paranoia" mode, so personal cloud options would still be welcomed and probably even required for my choice of password manager in the future.

Yes, 1Password for Teams is probably overkill if you don't have a team (which could be colleagues, family, or any other sort of group) that you want to share passwords with -- as that is its primary purpose. I only mention it as it would be a possible solution to this problem. If not for you, perhpas for someone else reading.
Thanks again for the feedback. :)
