My one password on mac book air el captain won't open. Freezes and must force quit. works on pad

Every time I open one password 5 it freezes. I then must force quit. Don't have any idea beyond this.

As you're running OS X 10.11 AKA El Capitan I have a suspicion of what might be the issue. Can you try following the steps detailed in the Reset extended attributes section of our page Troubleshooting “1Password failed to connect to 1Password mini” please.
