Sharing vaults with spouses
I share a vault with my spouse using Dropbox. I think I would like to switch to iCloud. We have 2 computers (Macs) and 3 IOS devices. With DropBox it has worked using my DB account - she doesn't need DB for any other purpose so we just keep her signed on to my DB account.
I cannot figure out how to accomplish this using iCloud. In the case of iCloud we each must have separate accounts to sync mail, calendars, etc individually (mac to IOS and vice versa for each person).
So, does 1PW have a separate sign-in to iCloud for access to the vault without interfering with the other functions that we need the iCloud accounts separated?
I love your produces and your attitude(s) to your customers!
(For the record, I do purchase licenses for each of your products - I want you to stay in business)
Thanks.

It is not possible to share data between iCloud accounts, so the only way you could do this would be by using the same iCloud account as your wife. If true account-independence is important to you, Dropbox will be a better option.

However, there may be one loophole: if you only need to sync a single vault, and you're using the AgileBits Store version of 1Password, you could use a separate (shared) Apple ID only for syncing your 1Password data. Since 1Password from the AgileBits Store uses CloudKitJS, it cannot authenticate with iCloud using the OS. Therefore, you can be logged into one iCloud account in System Preferences, and then log into another when you setup iCloud Sync in 1Password (which will open the Apple site to login). It's a little weird, but it may help in your case.

Thank you so much for your kind words and support! We couldn't do what we do without you and the rest of our awesome customers — and frankly even if we could, it wouldn't be nearly as fun. Thanks for allowing us to make a living doing what we love! Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions. :chuffed:
