How to delete a vault?

On the website it seems there is only the ability to add a vault.. On the desktop version the delete is grayed under the edit button... Or if there was the ability to change the name of the vault.. Then I wouldn't have to delete it..

    Hi @mcffej,

    welcome to the 1Password forum :)

    Currently the only way to delete a vault is through the website. If you have access to the Admin Console you can go to Vaults and then select the vault you want to delete. On the page shown then scroll all the way to the bottom and you should see the "Delete Vault" button.

    It's worth noting that you can change the name of the vault from the page @Winnie mentioned, as well.

    Wow! Thanks for the lightning response!!

    I guess I was referring to the vaults named shared and personal. So is it correct in assuming that there are two default vaults named shared and personal that you are not able to delete or change the names of? Maybe I'm not aware of the concept of those.. Once again thanks in advance!

    Hi @mcffej,

    The "Personal" vault is something that everyone gets created and assigned by default and there is no way to change or remove it.

    We plan to allow renaming and deleting the "Shared" vault because many asked about it.
