Sharing a Password with another Vault
Let's say we have a password record that we have created in the Accounting vault for "GoDaddy". Our accounting department needs this information to log into our GoDaddy account to pay for renewals or purchased products. Our technical team needs access to the same information. Is there a way for me to add the GoDaddy record to the technical vault and keep them linked together? If the technical team changes the PW, then I would want the GoDaddy record in Accounting to be updated with the new PW. Is there a way to do this today?
It seems to me that the minute we get multiple password records for the same accounts we are going quickly get out of sync. I hope you guys/gals have thought about this and provided a simple solution.

Hi, @ronharris.
Great question. We've heard about scenarios like this, and right now our answer is to create a new vault. It's not currently possible to keep an item in sync between two vaults, and it would be incredibly complex to implement that since vaults are each encrypted separately.
So instead, you could create a "Web Services" vault that contains accounts your web people administer and your accounting people pay for, such as GoDaddy, Amazon Web Services, etc., then grant access to that vault to both groups of people.
I hope that helps!

Thanks for the feedback. I know it's not easy, but this ability is extremely important for an application designed for teams.
Without the ability to share a single record across multiple vaults or keep records in sync Agilebits is designing problems for business users.
Imagine you are a member of all the vaults looking at all items. You see multiple GoDaddy accounts and are frustrated because you don't know which one is correct since someone changed the password on one but not the others. I would be frustrated. Would you?
I know making this change will delay the full release of 1PW for Teams, but it will make this a true team app not just a hybrid password app for individuals. It might give you the opportunity to add some of the others that make 1PW for Teams a true team application.

Hi, @ronharris.
In my opinion, your story proves exactly why we should not add this feature. :) If I were a member of all the vaults and I saw multiple GoDaddy accounts, I would be frustrated whether or not the passwords were all the same because there shouldn't be more than one copy of the item. That's why we suggest to have only one GoDaddy item stored in a vault that can be accessed by everyone who needs the item.
