Beta 58 Release Notes
Welcome to a wonderful Saturday night beta. Okay... for those who were watching very carefully, you might have noticed that we actually had two betas go out, one after another, as we had a minor snafu with the first one.
We have taken yet another step in our never ending quest to prevent you from getting locked out of your 1Password account. Today we introduce the mandatory Emergency Kit Quest. This quest will appear automatically whenever a new team is registered, or when a new person joins your team, and encourage them to save or print their Emergency Kit. If you are interested in learning more about the Emergency Kit we have a pretty nice Emergency Kit article for you to read.
Along with this new quest you can find a whole host of other goodies included in today's updated beta 58:
- [NEW] When registering a new team, your 1Password Emergency Kit is now generated and presented to you as your very first quest. {775, 1045}
- [IMPROVED] Sometimes it's just a heroic kind of day, and you feel like challenging yourself to a quest. What's a hero to do when there are no more quests to conquer? Never fear, you can now click any conquered quest to do it again! Stay heroic. {1114}
- [IMPROVED] If a user's session ends (eg. if they are suspended) while they are signed into 1Password, instead of seeing an obscure error message, they will now be automatically signed out with an explanation that the session has expired. {402, 1113}
- [IMPROVED] 1Password now displays helpful messages on the lock screen when you sign out, reload the page, or let it auto-lock. {342}
- [IMPROVED] Minor updates to the Proxima Nova fonts.
- [FIXED] You can now download your Emergency Kit in Microsoft Edge. {1098}
- [FIXED] Guests will no longer display the "Add to Owners" button in family accounts. {1093}
- [FIXED] Shared vault name cannot currently be changed, so we've removed that option from the interface for now. {1101}
- [FIXED] Added a workaround for cases when invalid information was exported when generating public/private keys using Microsoft Edge browser.
Your feedback and wonderful suggestions keep us moving forward. Please leave us a comment here or start a new thread to discuss anything that's on your mind. We love hearing from you!
