iOS does not recognize Mac 1PW and therefore will not sync
Both of devices have the most current version of 1Password. Both devices are on the same network. iOS 1Password can not find or does not recognize Mac 1Password and therefore will sync. And it is only getting worse. I accidentally downloaded (completely) MacKeeper post to the above mentioned problem of not being able to sync. SO after getting rid of MacKeeper I manually changed Master Password on Mac as well as on iPhone but now iPhone will not sign me in. Worst part about all of this is that Mac 1PW has only four entries that I manually added after a erase, overwrite and reinstall of OS X Yosemite And iOS 1password in iPhone has all of the data.
I wish someone could convince me that everything is ok but I am certain that I have finally cooked my own goose. I am Uchred. Dead in the water.
1Password Version: 6.0.2 (602005)
Extension Version: 4.5.2
OS Version: 10.10.5
Sync Type: won't sync

@Brianz: I'm sorry you're having so much trouble! To be clear, AgileBits has neither your 1Password data nor the Master Password used to secure it, so this isn't something we can 'reset' for you to help directly. However, please try the tips in this guide as they may help you gain access again:
https://support.1password.com/master-password-not-accepted/
If that doesn't help though, you will need to either restore from a backup, sync from another device, or simply start over. Now it sounds like the data in 1Password for iOS is the most crucial, and the only way to get into it is with the correct Master Password. But once you're able to unlock it, we can get things setup so you can sync everything to your Mac as well. Please let me know how it turns out. I look forward to hearing back from you!

I realize this Brenty. I just got home from an appointment today. I opened the 1Password instructions that I had saved to my Reading List on Mac then began to log in to 1PW on iPhone. I made one tiny slip whole signing in and almost completed the sign in when I had to start all over. And from that point on when I got to the 15th letter/number/symbol of the login password the dots in the login slot representing the digits/letters/numbers in that login password suddenly became small for about a second and then returned to their original size. I continued filling in the password and several times over and it would not accept it. So I may (and probably should, wait until the morning and try it again. I think I understand that if I screw up once I have to wait an hour or so before my next attempt. I have now been up since 4:00 and it is almost 8:00 pm, so I shall soon head to bed before getting over tired and not be able to sleep, and get a fresh start in the morning. I will get it yet. I think/hope when I do get it right and 1PW on Mac is also signed into that it finally syncs. And btw, every time that I have tried to sync the two, the iPhone has a pop up that says "can not find the computer". Then on Mac when I go to Settings>Sync it looks like I have no destination set to sync to. And when I do finally get 1password on iOS correct I shall definitely make certain that my password shall gets changed to a much shorter one. lol

@Brianz: Not a problem! I'll wait to hear back from you.
I'm sorry that you're having such an ordeal. I can tell you that there are days when my fingers feel a lot fatter, and I have the same difficulty entering passwords on my iPhone! Rather than necessarily shortening the Master Password, I'll suggest a few different tactics that may be helpful without sacrificing security:
- A good night's sleep (it sounds like you're way ahead of me on that one!)
- Entering the password very slowly, and noting each visible character before moving onto the next
- Using a long, strong, unique password that takes into account the onscreen keyboard layout (for example, a longer one using randomly generated dictionary words, such as the Wordlist generator in 1Password)
- Being patient and using Touch ID (if available) to your advantage: you only have to enter it the first time!
Back in the day, 1Password used to allow a different Master Password on each device. This was kind of useful for mobile devices, but was a opportunity to use a weaker password, or to forget it (due to having to remember more than one) so we got rid of that. But one takeaway I got from that era was that keyboard layout switching on the mobile device was something I could take into consideration when creating what would be my true One Password to Rule Them All, which I use across all my devices to this day. So you might also find that simply shifting a few characters around may make it easier to enter on your iPhone. Just some food for thought.
I'll also say that it sounds like you may be using Wi-Fi Sync (based on the error you described), and you may want to consider an alternative: Dropbox, iCloud (since both are automatic once they're setup), or 1Password for Families (which requires no sync setup, and also makes it easy to use and share within a family). Once you've got your data, we'll figure out what will be the best way forward for you so you can have a much smoother experience using your 1Password data on all of your devices. :)
