CVC field in Credit Card items has password generator button? Why?

Today I was caught off guard when trying to reveal a CVC (credit card verification code) in a Credit Card item within 1P6 for Mac, in the main application window.
I accidentally clicked the "generate password" button which is next to the CVC field and it overwrote the CVC. Luckily I was able to cancel out and not-save-changes.

Is there some reason there's a pass-generator button associated with this field? The CVC, like the credit card # and expiration date, to my knowledge are never user-generated.

    @gosmond,

    I had mentioned this issue to one of the developers back in January. I'll ping him again.

    Greetings @gosmond,

    You're quite right, the verification number or CVV or CVC or a bevy of other initialisms is never user assigned and is specific to the card. I would also argue that the Password Generator icon next to the PIN field is a bit silly given the standard PIN is 4 digits and the minimum length you can set the Password Generator to is 5. The PIN field is tougher as it seems to be a standard custom field and can be deleted (and also the PIN is often user configurable depending on the card issuer) whereas at least with the verification number it's a default field and you would think we could do something specific for the Credit Card items.
