I have forgotten my Dropbox vault password

When l changed my main 1P password I thought all my passwords would change, so I was unprepared when my vault on Dropbox was stuck on an old one. My clue is so vague that haven't been able to use it since May 9th.

I am using iCloud & iPhone Wi-Fi now but would like to use Dropbox as a backup. Is it forever gone to me?

    Hi @chidaca,

    Do you have any items in the Dropbox vault that are not also on your Mac? If you still have all of your 1Password items on your Mac, then you can just remove that vault file from Dropbox, and set up Dropbox sync again. It will create a new Dropbox file with your current Master Password.

    If you have data in that Dropbox vault that is not currently in your 1Password, can you tell me what happened to that data? In other words, why is it no longer in your active 1Password installation? (e.g. was it a secondary vault, did you delete items, etc.) Knowing that, we may be able to assist you further.
