For 1Password 4: How to add a new entity (such as a bank)

At the top there is a plus sign. But when I click it nothing happens. How do I create a new listing (such as a new bank)?

    Hi @judithdavis,

    Thanks for taking the time to write in! I'd be happy to help you here.

    Clicking on the '+' button should display a dropdown menu of all the types of items that you can add to 1Password. If you're not seeing that list, you could also use the file path: File > New Item and select the item type from the list there.

    There are a few item types that you might find useful for a new bank:

    • Login: store the username and password that you use to log into your bank's online services (this item will fill in on online forms)
    • Credit Card: store your bank card details (this item will also fill in on online forms)
    • Bank account: store any account details and branch information
