Why doesn't Android recognise the master password?
I am tying to sync my android to the laptop I bought and installed 1 Password onto just today. Have followed instructions to sync via wifi but after I have entered the 'secret' code, I then carefully type in the characters for my master password but keep getting the message 'Invalid Master Password'. I have tried numerous times and seriously have typed the password in very very carefully yet keep getting the same results. Would appreciate any help as this is quite frustrating!
Thanks in advance
1Password Version: 4.6.0.604
Extension Version: 4.5.8.90
OS Version: Windows 10
Sync Type: Android

Hi @LinnyBartlett. Let's see what's going on here. :)
First off, does your Master Password contain any special characters? Special characters can be interpreted differently on different devices, which can lead to invalid Master Password errors. Also, is your Master Password accepted on Windows after you select the PC from the network on Android?

I just posted this a few mins ago:
https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/67221/master-password-gets-replaced-during-wi-fi-sync-between-pc-and-android#latestIt is possible that during the sync, your vault's Master Password in your Android device got replaced. Check the above post, it my be what happened to you.
Good luck.

Thank you @peri and @AlphaParanoid Paranoid, good suggestions. In the end, I decided to use Dropbox as it seemed the easier option for a complete technophobe like me! That worked fine and I'm now up and running. Thanks again.
