Workaround for generating passwords for text type inputs
I understand the reason why the extension would refuse to fill a plain text type input with a generated password, however is there any way of swapping the input to to a password type just before it tries?
To give some context: we have a new registration form that has a "Show password" type checkbox next to it. During our initial testing to a small group of people, we had somebody report that they were unable to use 1Password to generate the password because, as it turned out, they had clicked the checkbox beforehand.
It's a fairly edge case scenario, but it would be nice if the extension dispatched some kind of event before it tried to fill the focussed input, so that we were able to swap it back to a password type when needed.
Does anything like that already exist?

Hi, @adamboxall. Right now, nothing like this exists, but it's an interesting idea, and better cooperating with pages that want to go an extra step or two is definitely something we're interested in looking into in the future.
