Deleting old iCloud data after moving to Personal

I've been using iCloud syncing with 1P, and now that I've moved to the subscription service, I'd like to get rid of the old iCloud data. I know it's there, because if I try to set up another vault, it asks me if I want to merge.

How can I delete the old iCloud data for good?

  • Hi @surfmonkey89

If you're sure there is no valuable data still exclusively in iCloud this should do it for you:

Mac: In 1Password, choose Help > Troubleshooting > Reset iCloud Data.
    OR
iOS: Open and unlock 1Password, then tap Settings > Advanced. Scroll down and tap Erase iCloud Data.

This only needs to be done from one device, not both/all.

It wouldn't hurt to make a backup first, if you still have any standalone vaults:

    1Password backups

If you do not have any standalone vaults, you will not see that option.

    Thanks!

Oh man, thank you! I had seen Erase iCloud Data, but I couldn't find it again because I thought it was in Sync settings. All fixed!

  • Excellent. Thanks for the update @surfmonkey89! If there is anything else we can do, please don't hesitate to contact us.
