Chrome is using extension 1Password v6 rather than v4
Hi,
I am having issues getting 1Password Chrome extension to use 1Password V4 features like asking to save passwords.
Journey:
1. Installed 1Password v4
2. Saw stable version of 1Password 6 and thought I would give it a go.
3. Deleted 1Password 4
4. Found out that v6 did not support local vaults
5. Installed v4
6. In chrome my extension is 4.6.2.90 according to extensions tab.
7. In the extension, the gear icon is showing "1 Password 6.2.333d" and a colourful icon - ring of dots.
How do I downgrade the chrome extension to 1 password v4?
Thanks
David

Hi @smith9,
Thanks for writing in.
Are you planning to keep both 1Password versions? If you use local vaults with Dropbox sync, I'd suggest sticking with 1Password 4 until 1Password 6 has full support for local vaults, which is coming in the near future. For now, uninstall 1Password 6 and restart 1Password 4's Helper is all you need to do to switch back.
You can restart 1Password 4's Helper by opening the main 1Password 4 program and going to the Help menu > Restart 1Password Helper.

Thank you for keeping us updated! :+1: I am glad to hear Mike helped, smith9!
We don't have any timeframe for local vaults support in 1Password 6 at the moment, but you can keep track of the latest updates here.
Please reach out to us anytime if you have other questions about 1Password 6 or 1Password in general. Thank you!
