Apply Promo code to existing account?

I have sent in a support request 3 days ago via email but have only heard from the automated responses.

How do I apply a promo code to an existing account? This is a membership promo, and not for the standalone store. I have clicked the "special" link in the email. It asks me to sign in to an existing account, however once I do that it doesn't appear to apply at all.

    I'm sorry for the delay. We typically answer emails in the order that they are received. Unfortunately every time you reply to your own email without having heard back from us yet the system bumps you to the end of the queue (most recently received). As you've replied to yourself twice you've bumped yourself to the end of the queue twice.
