Feature request: Windows App control via GP or lockable config file

Hello,

This is a bit of a moonshot, but it would be amazing to one day be able to control the configuration of the Windows app via Group Policies or with a configuration file that 'locks certain features of the desktop app. IE: Enforcing 'conceal clipboard', 'lock when computer is locked', 'clipboard clearing', disabling 'beta opt-in', 'forcing auto-update to be on', and setting un-editable Proxy settings.

If not Group Policies, I'm imagining something similar to Teamviewer's implementation where the 'settings' can be put between a password, and configured to require 'windows administration permission'.

Putting this is 1Password Teams because this is functionality that would only be relevant in a business/corporate environment.

Thank you,
D

  • That's an interesting idea, @DariusR. I'll be sure to pass this along to the windows development team to see what they think of it.

    Cheers.
