Suggestion for quicker password and username copying

First of all, I'm really pleased that 1Password for Windows is finally getting some of the same love and attention that Mac gets. The majority of the time, I use 1Password on my Mac and iOS devices, with the exception being my gaming PC - and this latest release certainly brings it very closely up to par, so thank you and keep up the good work!

I do have one minor bugbear on 1Password 7 for Windows however... I was hoping in this version, we'd get the same one-click anywhere copy of a username or password function that you do on Mac currently - and by that I mean, not having to hover over the small copy button. I'd love it if the whole field when highlighted and clicked could be copied by default (without needing to hover over a particular small area and click). It's not a huge issue but it'd save a valuable few milliseconds which add up over time when pasting into programs such as Steam/GOG etc.

Maybe I'm just being lazy and have gotten too used to the Mac version? :)

1Password Version: 7.0.531
Extension Version: 4.7.0.90
OS Version: Windows 10
Sync Type: 1Password Account

  • Hey @PhilGwynne, Thanks very much for the kind words - we are planning the 'default row action/click' to 1Password 7 for Windows. It is on our list, we've just been focused on the vaults support and doing the behind the scenes work for licenses, instead recently. You're definitely not just being lazy, it is something we want and will be doing, we just wanted to focus on bringing other important areas forward first. :chuffed:
