Update Mac app without administrative privileges?

Is there a way to keep the Mac app updated in "Standard" (rather than "Admin") accounts? The non-MAS app updates download and attempt to install, but fail if an admin user name/password is not provided. Since I have taught my kids to use 1P, and they run as "standard" users on a Mac that where I am the admin (but don't use on a regular basis), I would like the app to keep itself updated without me having to intervene.

    Hey @cryptomanic

Unfortunately, this isn't possible. This is because the app requires certain permissions which are outside of its own scope in order to function. Rightfully, your Mac will ask you for permission before any third party tool can modify those directories. This is actually great for security, especially for a machine on which something like 1Password will be running.
