I seem to have 2 password logins for the same account

Things are now very strange and I hope that someone can advise.
I have installed 1pwd7 through the Agilebits store and created a new password as part of my new 1password.com account
Previously I had a stand alone 1pwd6 installation
The new password I created when I signed up is required for me to log into 1password.com BUT both the Mac desktop app and my iPhone app require the old password from my 1pwd 6 account. The 1password.com account that I created does not work!
On 1password.com I can just see my new Personal space whilst on the Mac and iPhone I can see both my Personal space (with starter kit) AND the vaults (with contents) that I had previously in 1pwd6.

I understand that the Personal space is what is backed up BUT what has happened to the passwords and how do I sync them? Why am I able to log in using the old password but still be able to see the personal space?

Confused - and HELP!!
