Problematic site using Android
One of my logins is Drury Hotels and it works just fine in 1Password X in Chrome but won't work in Android on a Pixel 3 phone. The hotel URL is https://www,druryhotels.com but when 1Password logs in using Android this is changed to https://m.druryhotels.com. Evidently, the hotel doesn't have anything configured for the mobile browser because I get the error on this screenshot when trying to login with 1Password for Android.

Does anyone have any idea why this major hotel chain site login won't work with 1Password on Android? It works fine in 1Password X and on the Mac app.

Hi @LarryMcJ. For some reason, it looks like this site isn't able to load in the 1Browser. I'll pass this on to our development team. In the meantime, I recommend using Autofill or our accessibility service to sign in from Chrome or another browser. Just follow the steps here to do so: https://support.1password.com/android-filling/
Let us know if that helps!

Thanks, peri. I already tried this...no matter what I do all I get is the same error message I posted a link to initially in this thread. I just now downloaded another password manager from the Play Store (Bitwarden) and it worked perfectly. FYI, Bitwarden also uses an inherent browser. If the problem was my device, the other app probably wouldn't have worked. Any other possible solutions?

No. The problem occurs "only" when using the 1Browser with the Android 1Password app. If I use Chrome on my phone or 1Password X on my Pixelbook, there is no problem.

I understand, and I'll report this to my team. In the meantime, I recommend using Chrome or another browser to sign in to this website. You can use Autofill to fill into Chrome and other browsers and apps, without having to use the built in 1Browser. Please find the instructions for that below, and let me know how it goes!

Thanks, Peri. As I mentioned before, it works fine using Chrome on my phone. I just wanted to make sure the dev team knew about this login not working inside 1Password. Thanks again for your help!

Likewise, thanks for the feedback! The in-app browser isn't as powerful as Chrome, but fortunately we've got some great tools on Android now to fill in full-fledged web browsers. :)

It would be nice if sites like this that work with Chrome, but not with the 1P browser, could be configured to actually open with Chrome from within 1Password. Or, open in any any designated browser. Linking Chrome to the login is helpful, but not a solution.
My workaround is to add "(Chrome)" at the end of the login name and also tag them with "Chrome". This reminds me to not launch the site from within 1Password.
Probably wishful thinking, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks, Peri. In all these years using 1P on an iPhone I've never had to use an external browser so wasn't aware of how to launch it directly from within the app. Thanks again!
