Family License Migration 1P3 to 1P4 (plus iOS devices)

I apologize in advance if this doesn't merit a full forums discussion, but I've been unable to find a clear answer in other discussion threads.

We currently use 1P3 on our family's Macs under a family license. We're using 1P4 on iOS devices. All are pointing to the same shared Keychain via Dropbox. I haven't updated any of the Macs to 1P4 for Mac, because I don't know if all of these versions can interoperate and not risk affecting our stored password file. For example, if I can't update all of the Macs at once, can a mixture of 1P3 Mac (3.8.21), 1P4 Mac, and 1P4 iOS (4.3.2) all work together with the same Keychain file?

    Yes. 1Password 4 for Mac can sync its data with 1Password 3 for Mac using Dropbox, so there’s no issue using both.
