Update makes Chrome unusable

I hate updates. I seldom do them because they often cause more problems than they fixed, but I figured for my password protection program I need to stay up to date. Wrong.
The latest 1Password version is incompatible with Google Chrome
And no, the problem is NOT that Chrome is "in the middle of an update" as your popup suggests. Restarting the browser has not solved the problem.
According to my computer consultant, Chrome is the most secure web browser there is.
Any ideas, anyone? And, please, keep it simple. I don't have the benefit of the experience that many in this forum have.

    Hi @ntpipgras,

    There shouldn't be any issues with Chrome and the latest version of 1Password.

    Please try restarting your Mac. Then, if you are still having this trouble, let me know exactly what error is occurring when you try to use the Chrome extension. Thanks!
