Storing Apps

Hey all,

Is anyone using the 'Attachments' area in Software License to store the actual app? Currently, I store backups of all my apps on an external drive but it would be nice to keep the app and license info together. Would doing this hose up the database?

    Good question! Unfortunately, attachments in 1Password 4 are limited in size, so you might have a problem storing your apps here. The other thing to consider is if you sync your keychain to the cloud and/or other devices, large attachments are naturally going to increase the size of your database, which will take up more space on your mobile devices, and use more of your mobile data when syncing.

    1Password's attachment feature is generally best for smaller attachments, such as a scan of your drivers' license or passport.

    I do agree that storing the app and license information together would be nice, but I'm not quite sure it's practical in this case. :)
