"Before uninstalling the extension

Before uninstalling the 1Password 3 extension from your web browser, it is necessary to make sure that the old extension has synced all your data back to the main app. If you don’t do this,

it is possible to lose some data!

... To make sure the main app has all your data:

Open your web browser and manually save a new login. The web site doesn’t matter, any login page will do. The username and password don’t have to be real, either, since you’re not actually submitting the login form. Give the login a recognisable name, something like “1Password 3 is up to date!”
Open 1Password 3. Once you’ve verified that the login you just saved in your web browser is there in the main app, you can quit 1Password 3 and uninstall the 1Password 3 browser extension. (If you’d like, you can delete that dummy login you saved, too.)"

What about if the login you just saved is NOT in the main app? Then what?? It is not there in mine even though dropbox says it has synced 1password.html (I've done it from both Safari and Firefox). Just some standard instructions on the above page would be nice. You can't say, "Check if this is the case" and then not say what to do if it's not the case.

    Hi @Norvin,

We'll need to take a closer look at your system here to determine where things are getting tangled up. Could you please send us a Diagnostics Report?

    http://learn2.agilebits.com/1Password4/diagnostic-report.html

Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@ agilebits .com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

A short note here once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
