Deleting 1Password v3.8 after Installing 1Password 4

I still have the old 1Password v3.8.22 icon and app on my Mac after installing 1Password 4. 1 Password 4 is working good now and need to delete the old version 3.8 icon and app but am scared as I don't want to accidentally delete my data file that 1Password 4 is using.
Is there a safe way to ensure this wing happen?

    Just drag the icon off your dock and then got to your Applications folder and drag version 3. X to the trash. You're data will be safe. Empty the trash and restart your Mac.
