Most recent update broke Mac app [try reinstalling 1Password application]

Hi all,
Sine installing the most recent update (from ~June 12, 2014) of 1Password for Mac, with no other system changes at all, 1Password no longer works. When I try to open the app directly, it just goes straight to not responding mode, as shown in my Force Quit menu. If I try to use the autofill keyboard shortcut—which is an automatic habit—I see the error "1Password failed to connect to 1Password Mini. Please restart 1Password. If this does not help, please contact AgileBits support."

I'm using Safari, but I also experience the 1Password Mini/browser extension error in Google Chrome. I note that I had a similar problem EXACTLY one month ago, when the newest update broke 1Password in exactly the same way.

Is anyone else having this problem on OS X 10.9.3?
