Currently using 1Password on iMac, iPad and iPhone I want to add a MacBook and possibly one more iPad. Do I need additional licenses?

    Briefly:

    1. If you bought the OS X version from the AgileBits store and the additional machine is yours you can use it on both without a problem. If you bought from the Mac App Store you can use the app on any machine which uses the same Apple ID.
    2. The iOS version works on the same basis as the Mac App Store version of 1P4 for OS X. You can use it on any device which uses the same Apple ID.

Hello. I don't understand the software license for 1Password as far as the number of users allowed. For the Single User license, does that mean one Mac and all user accounts on that one Mac can use 1Password? Does the Family license (5 users) mean 5 individual Macs or 5 user accounts on one Mac?

    Hi @John_East,

    1Password is licensed per-person and per-platform.

When you purchase from our online store ( http://agilebits.com/store ),  a single-user license allows one person to use 1Password on any number of devices of the purchased platform (e.g., a 1Password for Mac single-user license is valid for all of your Macs). Once you add another person, it is time for another single-user license, or a family license if you're in the same household.

1Password for Mac is also available in the Mac App Store: http://j.mp/1PmasST

Mac App Store licensing is similar to ours, except that your purchase is tied to your Apple ID. You can then use your Apple ID to install purchased apps on any computer "you own or control" (we take that to mean just about any Mac in your house). You can read more on Apple's web site: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4461

1Password for iOS (iPhone & iPad) is sold exclusively by Apple in the App Store: http://j.mp/1PasCS
