1Password 3 to 1Password 4 choosing wrong file

I just recently installed 1Password4 on my Mac (OS10.9.4) and the 1Password3 file that 1Password4 chose to recognise was a backup from 2012. In other words my recent passwords are not on my 1Password4 when I open it.
I have found the file of my most recent backup in 1Password3 at ~/Library/Application Support/1Password/. It is a 1Password3 backup from the day of the upgrade (2/8/2014).
Can you kindly tell me how to get 1Password4 to use that file when it opens?
