This was requested once before and I would like to add my vote for what would be a most valuable feature. I saw the recommendation for Choosy and will look at it but this is the only application where I've wanted that feature. My usual workflow deals with other situations where I want to pick the browser.

While Choosy hasn't been updated in many years, it still works wonders on systems dating from Leopard to the latest Mavericks (I haven't tried it on Yosemite). It might be overkill for your stated single 1Password use case… but once you have it in place you'll likely find others too. :) For example it comes with handy browser extensions that allow you to be viewing a page in say Safari, and decide you'd rather have the page loaded in Chrome: a click of a button later and the page loads in your alternate choice.

    Hi @GinK,

Thanks for the feedback! I will pass it along to our developers. :)

This looks like a possible, more "DIY" and currently free, alternative to Choosy:

    LinCastor - Onflapp's Blog

    Also spotted it here:

10.8: Open a specific browser based on the URL - Mac OS X Hints

Haven't had a chance to test it yet.
