For some reason, I cannot remember my master password for 1Password. I have deleted the application from my Mac and readied it thinking that I can just start over from scratch but it is not allowing me to. It continues to open up, even after being deleted from my computer, and opens asking for the Master Password. Is there a way for me to completely erase the application off of my device so I can restart my application with a new master password? PLEASE HELP!!

    Hi kwebb1

    Sorry your in a pickle here.

    1Password v4 go here https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac-kb/4/en/topic/how-do-i-start-over?

    1Password 3 go here https://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/uninstall.html

    • Make sure to save the folders containing the data just in case you remember the password later on. If after a period of time you do not remember the password you can remove the saved folders.

    Cloud space and or disk space is cheap, so its most likely their is not a need to be in rush to get rid those folders incase you recall the password.

    Here is a link to the Knowledge Base article on starting over for 1Password 4. In deference to @thightower‌, I did not check his links.

    @hawkmoth

    I knew there was something in the guide. I searched and tried "uninstall" and a couple other terms. No joy on those searches. I am glad you found it. I just went to my old topic about starting over in the forums.

    I have updated my post to include your much better link. :D
