1password not syncing correctly.

1password says "synced 3 seconds ago" but no passwords are appearing in my vault. I am sure there are passwords since its working for my team. I am using google drive and a secondary vault going to preferences and choosing the file on my mac (exactly the same as my team).

I have tried - reinstalling 1password, recreating the value and a couple of other things.

I am on yosimite.

Please help, it's really frustrating I can't access any passwords for any of our environments.

Note when I say I am choosing the file on my Mac - I mean I am traversing on Finder to google drive and selecting the agile keychain file. I have also tried double clicking on the keychain file and adding it like that, which works, but no passwords are pulled across. So frustrating :/

I have looked into the logs and it seems like your applications is throwing an error. Please could you help out with this. We have tested it quite a bit on our team and it's working from some guys, but not for others.

    Hi @ryangetsmarter‌

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having trouble keeping 1Password synced up. Unfortunately, Google Drive is not a fully supported sync solution ... which means that we haven't tested it out, and it will be a bit harder to determine where things are getting tangled up.

Could you please give me a bit more information on how 1Password is set up to sync with Google Drive? I'm assuming you're using Folder Sync to sync your 1Password data to a folder in your Google Drive?

We have installed google drive locally which keeps the files in sync on your local computer. So we add our agilekeychain to google drive and it syncs down to your computer. Then you point to it via 1password. For some of our developers it's working 100%, but for myself and another developer it doesn't work.

As you can see I have managed to find in the logs that the code is breaking. It might be good to report this back to your developers.

Failed to parse JSON with error : Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=3840 "The data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format." (JSON text did not start with array or object and option to allow fragments not set.)

I have also sent an email to support.

What is the procedure from here to get this sorted?

    Thanks.

    @ryangetsmarter‌

Unfortunately as Megan mentioned we do not support Google Drive, so the technical support we can provide for syncing with it is very limited. What we can do is point you to a sync solution that is supported: iCloud, Dropbox, or WiFi sync.

You can find sync instructions here:

    https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac/5/en/topic/sync

    Thanks.

    Ben
