1Password on Mavericks won't start

I am running OS X 10.9.5.
I currently have 1Password 4.4.1, and when I try to run the app it says:

1Password failed to connect to 1Password mini
Please restart 1Password. If this does not help, please contact AgileBits support.

and the only option is to quit.

I downloaded 4.4.3 and tried to run it and I get the same error message.
How can I fix this? I've tried rebooting and all the other normal things,
and I searched the knowledge base and don't see anything like this.

    I'm sorry you're having an issue with 1Password mini on Mavericks.

    Are you the only user on the Mac? There are some weird issues starting 1Password mini on a second account if you're not the only user on the Mac. If you're not the only user, try logging into the main admin account and see if 1Password mini opens in there.

    If that's not the case, we'll need to look at your logs to see why OS X can't open it. Can you email me your diagnostic report to support+forum@agilebits.com with a link to this thread.

    Please let me know when you send it, so I can look at the report.
