1Password Won't Launch After Update

After clicking to install an update 1Password can no longer be opened (Message: 1Password 5 cannot be opened because of a problem). I am synching through dropbox. Is it all right to delete the entire program and just try to download a new install, keeping my passwords safe in dropbox?

I'm on a 2013 iMac running 10.10

    Solved: Removed old program - put in new one. All passwords remained from Dropbox file.
