I get this message on startup of 1PW. How can I correct this?

I'm guessing you're running Yosemite. Yosemite has a problem with more than one copy of 1P on your disk (or, indeed, on any disk attached to your Mac). It will wander around looking for a copy of 1P to start and can easily choose the wrong one (in very lay terms: sorry!).

The solution is to ensure you have on your Mac—including on any disk attached to it—only one copy of the app. If the other copy is something like a copy on a constantly attached backup disk which you don't want to detach others have reported that disabling Spotlight from indexing that backup disk will solve the problem.

Does that help? Please post again if you need more help.

Thanks Stephen, problem solved. Turned out to be a duplicate 1pw 5 copy still in the download folder..

Great to hear Stephen_C got you sorted out @VanDee‌ Personally I love his choice of words when describing Yosemite's odd behaviour, it seems very appropriate given what Yosemite is doing :stuck_out_tongue:
