Restoring passwords

Hello,

I made a backup of my passwords from my iPhone and saved it on my desktop. I then tried to restore the file to my iPad by using the assigned website, it gives me the message that "restore complete". However it will then ask me to enter a password, and everytime it says "failed attempt". Is there anyway to open this file or have I lost all my passwords? Thanks for your time.

    I'm unsure what you mean when you said

    I don't know if it has any bearing on the matter but it might also be worthwhile letting us know what version of 1Password and iOS you are running on both devices.
