question re sync changes in 5.1

I noticed in the change log for mac version 5.1 that master password changes sync to all devices across iCloud. Currently I have a different password to access 1password on my mac and iPhone. I want it to stay that way. Is this going to force me to use the same password for both?

    Hi @rshodson,

    Normally, if you change your master password on one device, that change should be reflected on other devices that sync your 1Password data. That wasn't working via iCloud sync for a short while due to a small bug. That's fixed now, but if your Mac and iPhone already had different master passwords before the recent 1Password updates, they should remain different until you change your master password again on one or the other.

    Keep in mind that having a different master password on each device is not the correct behavior for 1Password. It's possible something else will trigger the change to sync to whichever device has the older master password, since that's the intended behavior.
