That is up to Google, which needs to incorporate the relevant code (which AgileBits has made freely available) to allow 1P & Chrome to communicate. The pressure should be applied to Google rather than to AgileBits.

As a Chrome user, I certainly hope that Google will incorporate the extension, but we can't force them to do so.

So Google controls what extensions that are available within the chrome app and they have chosen to include last pass but not 1password? Has agile bits been in contact with Google to find out why they have added support for last pass but not 1password?

iOS extensions work much differently than browser extensions on Mac or Windows. On iOS 8, developers need to specifically add support for the 1Password extension to their apps in order for it to work (the same goes for other apps' extensions as well). We have a bit more information about that in our Extension FAQ. Towards the bottom of that page, you'll see a few sections about 1Password integration in other apps.

We're all hoping Google will add support for the 1Password extension soon of course, but it's really up to them. If you'd like the 1Password extension to be supported in the Chrome app, please let them know - customer feedback is really the best way to make that happen! :)
