  1. Is the 1Password 5 will run on Windows XP? I want to install 1Password for Windows XP. I've already 1Password for iPhone 5S and iPad Air sync by DropBox. Now, I'd like the same DropBox account install 1Password but on Windows XP? Should not be in a higher version? Is this a good idea?
  2. After installing 1Password 4 for Windows which option should I choose if I have already founded on iPhone 5S 1Password 5 vault and I would like to have on Windows the same data as on IOS?
    The option are:
  • I am new to 1Password
  • I have used 1Password before
  • Restore 1Password vault from backup
    Best,
    Mac1

    Hi @mac1,

Is the 1Password 5 will run on Windows XP?

The latest version of 1Password for Windows is 4.3 and the official minimal system requirements are Windows 7 and above. You can find our requirements here: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-windows/4/en/topic/requirements

From our customers reports, they are saying 1Password 4.x runs on XP with almost no usable issues but there are some minor UI issues.

Now, I'd like the same DropBox account install 1Password but on Windows XP? Should not be in a higher version? Is this a good idea?

We recommend using the latest versions of Windows that can support your hardware, they have a lot of important security improvements that is better used with 1Password.

According to Dropbox, they do support XP listed in their requirements here: https://www.dropbox.com/help/3

After installing 1Password 4 for Windows which option should I choose if I have already founded on iPhone 5S 1Password 5 vault and I would like to have on Windows the same data as on IOS?

First, install Dropbox and then wait for it to finish its sync. Once it is finished, opening 1Password should detect the 1Password data folders in your Dropbox. We automatically scan Dropbox's folder when we detect it. If not, tell 1Password that you've used 1Password before and direct it to your 1Password folder in Dropbox as described in our help article here: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-windows/4/en/topic/getting-1password-data-from-ios

I do suggest skimming through our quick-start guide here: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-windows/4/en/topic/quick-start

It should answer many of your questions as you proceed with 1Password.
