Transfer data to new license

I have been using 1 Password 4 for MAC that I purchased with my brother as a family license and my account is also synced to my iPhone. Now I would like to upgrade to 1Password 5 and add my wife, but under my own license instead of sharing with my brother's license as he now wants to keep his license to himself. Before buying my own license, I want to be sure that all of my data (passwords) will be able to transfer to the new license. Please advise.

    Hi @dantheman,

    Licences and vaults are completely separate so you have nothing to fear. You won't even have to transfer your vault as the vault is never stored with us, it is, and will continue to be, on your devices and whatever sync option you decided to go with. We can't touch your vault. So what would happen is you would apply your new licence to your existing 1Password for Mac and you're done :smile:
