I do not remember my master password.

I was given 1passwod by my partner 18 months ago but never used it. When I try to sign on I cannot remember the format the answer is supposed to be in. I recognize the question in the hint but not the correct way to spell the answer.

    Hi @Bundyrum,

    Due to how 1Password works, only your Master Password will gain your access to your vault. There is no way to reset a Master Password as such a feature would represent a massive security hole.

    All I can of is point you towards a couple of pages we have.

    Given you pretty much know what it should be but can't account for some aspect you're probably going to be limited to either brute force guessing of the unknown bit or starting over with an empty vault

    As the final suggestion on that second page states, if nothing else has worked and you are positive that access is lost then your only option is to start over with an empty vault. If it comes down to this I hope you haven't lost anything important. Starting over will at least allow you to create a brand new vault with a new Master Password.
