I'm interested in the 35% license discount mentioned in an email from 1Password today, but I've tried reading all the forums, researched the website, etc, but I still can't figure out if I need a license or not if I plan on using 1Password on my iPhone 5c.

I downloaded the 1Password app on my iPhone, created a master password, added one login, but the Apple Store never asked for payment. I can't figure out if I need a license, and I would like to take advantage of this 35% discount if I'm going to need one. I also have a MacBook that I'm assuming I would access 1Password from occasionally, if needed.

Can you please help?

Also, is there a reason why 1Password doesn't have a customer service number, or live chat, etc?

    If you are only going to use it on your phone you probably don't need the pro version. But only you can know for sure.

    As far as the Mac version, if you only occasionally need read access, don't need browser auto fill features, and will sync via Dropbox then you could use the 1password anywhere feature without buying anything. https://support.1password.com/1passwordanywhere/.     Otherwise, I highly recommend the Mac app and love using it and 35% off is a great deal.

    @zevlag: 1Password for iOS is a free download, with an in-app purchase only if you want the Pro Features — and of course that is on sale currently as well. But of course you can use 1Password for iOS without paying a thing if you don't want the extra features.

    1Password for Mac and Windows, on the other hand, both have a free trial, but after 30 days they will be essentially 'read-only' — you can continue using them indefinitely, but you won't be able to add or edit items.

    Also, is there a reason why 1Password doesn't have a customer service number, or live chat, etc?

    We are a small company, so we don't have a callcenter with 'operators standing by'; and we've found it's simply easier to provide the instructions so you can follow them step by step when it's convenient for you. Interestingly, it is really, really hard to share links and diagnostic information via telephone, even in this day and age! And of course it also makes it possible for you to benefit from the answers others have already received. Rest assured we're here for you and we'll do whatever we can to help. :chuffed:
