I have installed the the app extension for iOS. It still does not autofill and launch apps?

I don't understand how to set up 1P to work with apps. Use Tumblr for example. In 1P if the username, password and website listed. I have recently download the iOS app extension. When I try to launch the app directly it isn't seeing the 1P info, and when I open 1P and try to launch it still goes to the website, and asked if I want to download the app...
