family account vs family licence

I have bought a familiy licence (Mac and windows, 5 units) in end 2013.
Now you offer a family account. I understand that there are some functionality like team in this new version but I think for us (my wife and me) it would be too expensive (5 $/month per user) to throw away my existing licence and buy a new family account licence.
To have the same passwords for my wife and me it is cheaper to just share the vault in dropbox.
Or is there a an other pricing option I have nor seen yet?

It depends on what your going for. For just you and your wife it might not make sense to use Families as it is cheaper to just keep what your have now. However you do get a lot of great feature with Families. I personally like the extra security, web interface, and recovery options myself.

    Hi @ciotto5360,

Pricing for 1Password Families is $5 per family per month (up to 5 people) rather than $5 per user every month. It's a bit easier for families to afford! As Scuba629 points out, 1Password Families gives you some neat extra features, but you can definitely continue to do things exactly like you have been :)
