Hi
where are my attatchments held on my Mac, as i click on attatchments in the password and sometimes they are not there...

I found some attatchments, but not all >

Does 1password take the attachment and keep it in its folder so its secure?

Thank you

@MartinK: Yes! But...in your case it's probably not visible to you. When syncing with iCloud, 1Password does not write the vault to disk in an obvious way. All of the data is always kept encrypted in an internal database.

With Dropbox and folder sync though, a separate vault is also written in AgileKeychain or OPVault format, and inside are your items and their attachments, all encrypted. In AgileKeychain, they're UUIDs stored in the /a/ folder, and in OPVault, they're just .attachment files. This is so Dropbox doesn't need to sync the entire vault any time a small part of it changes; it can sync only the individual files that were modified.

However, your screenshot is showing a 1PIF export of 1Password data. This is not your vault, and it is not encrypted. Please delete it, unless you need it for some reason — in which case, store it securely.

I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions!
