How can I get 1Password to stay on longer on my Mac or phone?

When using 1Password on my phone it locks after a few minutes if not being continually used. Is it possible to prolong the period of time it is open?

    Settings > Security and Settings > Advanced > Security give various options for when 1PW will lock, and also when Touch ID (or PIN) can be used rather than the master password.

    But if you are using other apps it may be that 1PW is closing (a function of iOS to free memory, not an action by 1PW), in which case it will lock.

    On iOS the settings in 1Password > Settings > Security should help. On Mac they are in 1Password under 1Password > Preferences > Security.
