Cannot log into Mac app - says wrong master password, but it's correct when I use it on the website

Yeah so kind of annoying way to start off with this app. My master password doesn't work and I don't know why. I was able to change it online and that worked fine, but the app says no dice. I am on macOS Sierra beta, could that be causing an issue?

    @john_f: It sounds like you may have been using the standalone 1Password app separately from the 1Password.com subscription service, either far in the past or because you simply hadn't added your account there. Does that ring a bell? If you know you don't have anything important stored in the 1Password vault on your computer, you can always start over (Help > Troubleshooting > Reset All 1Password Data) and then use your 1Password Account there instead when you set it up.
