Can't open 1password version 6 with Sierra 10.8.5

Hi,

I tried several times to install 1 password, after I updated Mac OS Sierra to version 10.8.5.
When I install version 4 or 6, none of them will open. Version 4 reports that it is not compatible with 10.8.5, which makes sense. After i install 1password version 6.5.3, i don't see the application on my Mac and can't open it.
Does anybody know how to fix this?

    I don't have an answer to your question. But there is something wrong with the version numbers you listed. The latest OS is version 10.12.2 (macOS Sierra). Version 10.8.5 (OS X Mountain Lion) dates back to 2013. Maybe you just listed the wrong number?

    Hi @frekkel,

    As pervel noted, something seems likely to be wrong about your version numbers. Do you mind double checking your Mac OS version number using these instructions?

    Sorry for the confusing about the version numbers.
    I just checked it again.. It is OS X Version 10.8.5 Build 12F2560

    For 10.8.5, the latest version of 1Password that will work is version 4.4.3 which you can download via this link:
    https://cache.agilebits.com/dist/1P/mac4/1Password-4.4.3.zip

    Give that a shot, and if it doesn't work let us know exactly what error you're getting and we'll see what we can do.
