1Password quits on 'Searching Dropbox for Vaults'

Everything is the title. Cannot understand why.

I'm setting up a new iPad Pro (as new).
So, fresh iOS, fresh apps.
When opening 1Password everything starts right.
'Already using 1Password' : Dropbox
'Connect Dropbox' : unlocking OK (Touch ID or code)
'Authorize' : tap
Next window 'Vaults' opening and displaying 'Searching Dropbox for Vaults'
Within a second : 1Passwords quits.

Uninstalled and downloaded several times 1Password and Dropbox, restarted again and again : still the same.

I have an iPhone and an iPad Mini, same iOS and apps versions : everything works fine. 1Password doesn't quit and syncs OK with Dropbox.

Quite a similar problem discussed in App hangs on 'Searching Dropbox for Vaults' (mjt847 January 18) but here 1Password is quitting, not even hanging.

What's wrong ?
Any idea ?

1Password Version: 6.5.2
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 10.2.1 (14D27) French
Sync Type: Dropbox (36.2)

    Hi @phalias

Thanks for taking the time to write in. It actually sounds like 1Password may be crashing. Please send us the crash logs directly. Here are the steps you'll need to follow:

    1. Plug your phone into your computer and sync it with iTunes.
    2. Switch to the Finder, click on the Go menu and choose "Go to Folder..."
    3. Paste the following into the window that pops up: ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/
    4. Select all the files that begin with 1Password and drag them to Mail in the Dock to create a new mail message.
    5. Send the email to support+forum@agilebits.com

Alternatively, if you do not have a computer with iTunes available:

    1. Open Settings app
    2. Go to Privacy, then Diagnostics & Usage
    3. Select Diagnostics & Usage Data
    4. Locate the log for 1Password. The logs will be named in the format: 1Password__
    5. Select the desired log. Then, using the text selection UI select the entire text of the log. Once the text is selected, tap Copy
    6. Paste the copied text to Mail and send it to support+forum@agilebits.com

With your email please include a link to this thread:

as well as your forum handle.

When you send the message you will get an automated reply from BitBot containing a Support ID. Please post the Support ID here so we can 'connect the dots.'

    Hi Ben,

Just a few words to say that I experienced exactly the same problem configuring a new iPhone SE.

In the discussion I mention above @oan writes :

But it works if I first create a "standalone vault" and then add my Dropbox vaults afterwards.

@Ben Yes, but my structured personality don't like the empty standalone vault that I can't delete

+1. This workaround makes it but not 'clean' with this unuseful and unwanted vault.

Now, here is another workaround :
On the Mac, disable Dropbox sync for Primary Vault and set it with iCloud.
On the iOS device(s), launch 1Password and sync from iCloud (it syncs only Primary Vault).
    Sync secondary vault(s) with Dropbox : 1Password won't crash.
Set Primary Vault sync back to DropBox.
Back to Mac, disable iCloud sync for Primary Vault and set it with Dropbox (you may delete 1Password iCloud data).

    No more 'ghost' vault !
