Cannot migrate vault/data from 1Password 3.6.5 to 1Password 6.5.3

HELP!
I followed the instructions per the website from agilebits (https://support.1password.com/upgrade-ios/) under "If you aren’t prompted to import your data".
Every time i get to step 8 (when i tap to import) the IPassword 6.5.3 app shuts off and then tells me it unexpectedly exited.

I am trying to migrate but with no luck. Any advise or suggestions?

    Thanks for taking the time to write in. It sounds like 1Password 6 may be crashing. Please send us the crash logs directly. Here are the steps you'll need to follow:

    1. Plug your phone into your computer and sync it with iTunes.
    2. Switch to the Finder, click on the Go menu and choose "Go to Folder..."
    3. Paste the following into the window that pops up: ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/
    4. Select all the files that begin with 1Password and drag them to Mail in the Dock to create a new mail message.
    5. Send the email to support+forum@agilebits.com

    When you send the message you will get an automated reply from BitBot containing a Support ID. Please post the Support ID here so we can 'connect the dots.'

    Note that unfortunately that won't actually resolve the issue for you, but it may help our development team create a fix such that others won't run into this problem in the future. To resolve the issue you're having, I'd like to see if you're able to upgrade 1Password 3.6.5 to 1Password 3.7.2 (the last release of 1Password 3 for iOS). To do so please launch the App Store app and navigate to the Purchases > Updates tab. From there scroll until you find 1Password 3, and see if there is a "cloud download" button or "update" button next to it. Please do not try to use the search feature on this page, but instead scroll to 1Password. The search will not find the correct result.
